15 August, 11am-12.30pm, The Next Wave Author Talk, Phillip Island Library

Overview

Join us at Phillip Island Library to hear author Fiona Basile discuss her new book The Next Wave, the sequel to herinternationally award-winning book Immerse. It celebrates the growth and diversity of an open water swimming community in bayside Melbourne. Through stunning photography and intimate reflections, it captures the joy, resilience, and friendships forged in the sea. Thirty-six swimmers, who come from near and far, share how the water heals, challenges, and transforms them, offering stories of hope, courage, wonder, and gratitude.

During this author talk, Fiona will share her own photographic journey, her motivations and inspiration, and how The Next Wave came to life following Immerse. Get ready to be moved and inspired!

There will be copies of The Next Wave available at this event, offering attendees the opportunity to purchase a book and have it personally signed by Fiona.
