Fiona lived in Sweden for about three years where she developed her freelance photography and writing career.  While sneaking back to Australia every Christmas for some sun, surf and good Italian cooking, this was her second home. Located on the small island of Gotland, Sweden’s summer playground, she interviewed and photographed some of Sweden’s most interesting and talented people, as well as international guests who were passing through. 

Upon her arrival, she began writing a regular publication called The Unlikely Swede which kept hundreds of readers entertained, informed and inspired.  Each edition featured a different topic and was packed with colourful photos.   The Unlikely Swede has become an icon among friends, family and professional colleagues all over the world who email regularly asking about its whereabouts.  At this stage, The Unlikely Swede has been laid to rest.
